General Information
Start/Finish: The course starts at 7pm on Friday and finishes at 3pm on Sunday.
Deposit: $150 per person
Group size: Maximum 4 photographers, minimum 2.
Where we stay: depends on the number of participants.


The Cost
My fee is $150.00 per day, per person + accommodation.

Special discounts are available for couples and non-participating partners, be careful though, don't try and put one over me, as you WILL be sleeping together. Mass group booking's will also enjoy discounts.

*We all know that money is tight and I don't want to deprive you of my increadible company, so please don't be put off by the cost alone, I'm very flexible and cheaper accommodation optoins may be available. When it comes down to it, Id rather see you turn up, learn something of value and enjoy yourself, rather than not turn up at all. Trip Details
Late winter / early spring, times might vary 15mins either way.

7:00pm - 10:00pm
Introductions with the group and a chat about photography in general, it's a great opportunity to get acquainted and get an idea of what's in store for the weekend ahead.
I will be give a short introductory talk about landscape photography and what we will be learning the following day, along with some pointers for you to mull over in your sleep. Hopefully you guys will have brung atleast 6 photos on your trusty laptop or memory stick to share with the group. At the end of the night.

hour before sunrise 6:30 - 8:30am
Daybreak: On location for the sunrise.

8:30 - 11:00am
Back for Breakfast and download your mornings efforts.

11:00am - 12:30pm
Critique session & digital workflow. We will select one or two shots from each member to discuss and dissect, Boney will show you how get the best out of each image.

12:30pm - 2:30pm
Lunch and snooze time.

2:30 -4:30pm
Back outside to tame the beast, learn about aperture settings exposure compensation and exposure bracketing.

4:00 - 6:00pm
Dinner with the group and rest time.

6:00pm - 9:00pm
Shoot the birds, people on the beach and finish off with the sunset the dying light.

6:30 - 8:30am
Sunrise. Another morning and another chance at nailing the sunrise.

8:30 - 10:00am
Breakfast. Back to the hotel for some food and warmth and to relax for an hour.

11:00 - 1:00pm
Photo Critiques of images we captured throughout the weekend & Photoshop tools and techniques and one last chance to at practicing anything you don't feel that you understand.

1:00pm - 3:00pm
Lunch at Hotel & Close of workshop.

Getting to and from the workshop
Waikanae is around 1 hour away from Wellington.

If you wish to be picked up on the day of the workshop let me know, I can pick you up at Paraparaumu train station no later than 5pm or Upper Hutt station no later than 3:00pm. other than that I will meet you at the Motel at 7:00pm.

Returning from the workshop
Please be aware that could drop you off in Paraparaumu after the workshop ends.

After the workshop finishes and if its a fine day I will be on location till after dark doing what I love doing, taking in the wildlife and the sunset. This is my own personal time, but if your still around you are indeed welcome to come out with me, only this time I will have my camera and because I will be wanting to get some photos for myself you will be treated more as a fellow photographer than a client.

• Main meals and snacks.
• Alcohol and sweet drinks.

Equipment needed
Your not gona be fiddling with my cameras.

• Digital SLR camera.
• A understanding of how to adjust your camera's basic settings.
• Windproof top and warm clothing.
• A tripod. I can supply up to two.
• A positive attitude and a sense of humour is mandatory.

What would be handy
• Laptop with Lightroom and or Photoshop.
• Neutral density graduated filters.
• Cable release
• Thermos.
• A selection of six of your favorite images you have taken to date, stored on either a memory stick,DVD or on your laptop.
• Your camera hand book.

Fitness level
Easy flat sandy seashore with a 10min hike out to the river mouth again over sand with your tripod and backpack.

Payment Details
All payments are to be made via a direct debit into my account. Simply e-mail me and I will send you my account details. Please use your name as reference when paying and send me an e-mail once payment has gone through.
A deposit of $150 is required, this secures our accommodation so we don't have to sleep out in the sand dunes. The deposit become's nonrefundable 30 day's out from the workshop.

Boney also reserves the right to cancel Workshops 30 day's prior to it's commencement if numbers are insufficient or due to unforeseen circumstances. Your deposit will be refunded under these circumstance's or you can re-book and have another crack at it.

Boney doesn't take any responsibility or liability for personal or property damage during the duration of the Workshop. Your on your own on that one.

The Final Word

My personal wish is that should you attend one of my workshops, share a journey across the mountains or a night on the computer learning Photoshop, you will take home a long lasting friendship and some new found skills and knowledge that will enable you to be a better photographer
